Does your child have one or more loose teeth? While losing baby teeth is essential in order to allow their permanent counterparts to come in, prematurely pulling out a tooth may cause more harm than good (as well as a fair amount of pain). Here are three recommendations to follow:

  • Allow the tooth to fall out in its own time.
  • It is fine for a child to wiggle the tooth.
  • Whenever in doubt, consult with a dentist.

“Should you have concerns about your child’s loose tooth, or believe it should have fallen out already, don’t hesitate to follow up with your child’s dentist.”
